Biography
Ms. Stewart Hamlin earned her
Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and Political Science at Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles, California,
her Juris Doctor degree in May, 2001 at Washington College of Law at American University, and her Master of Business
Administration degree in December, 2001 at Kogod School of Business at American University, in Washington D.C. She
has been listed in Who is Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges (1999). She was the Managing
Editor for the ABA's Administrative Law Review at Washington College of Law, 2000-2001, and she has been a recipient
of numerous academic honors and awards.
During
law School, Ms. Stewart Hamlin worked in the Civil Practice Clinic where she represented indigent clients in front of the
Board of Appeals of the Social Security Administration, the Housing Authority, and other such agencies. She has worked extensively with various businesses and assisted them to becoming compliant with
governing regulations. She has experience working with condominium associations,
cooperative associations, IT companies, consulting companies, real estate companies, and a variety of small businesses.
Since 2001 she has been working with various clients to ensure proper handling of fair housing rights at the Housing Authority’s Section 8
Regulation Adminstration Offices. She litigates family law cases and various civil matters, acts as general counsel
to several businesses, and conducts transactional law.

She is a native of Jamaica,
West Indies where she attended Mount Alvernia High School in Montego Bay, Jamaica. She enjoys spending time with her
family and friends, listening to a variety of music, is a patron of the arts, and enjoys the study of world history.
